Andrew’s Story
I became interested in music in utero, where I attended an Allman Brothers concert, and I’m sure the sweet licks and jam band energy made my tiny embryo rock out and carve my rock n roll path. But, it was not until middle school when I discovered Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, the Grateful Dead, and many other amazing bands that I finally found and discovered my musical environment that I was ready to share and indulge in for the rest of my life. The album American Beauty from the Dead really blew my mind, and I just wanted to keep hearing more insightful, beautiful lyrics and soul in the music I listen to. Coincidentally, I also started playing guitar at that time and learned my favorite songs. Unfortunately, I gave up choir, wanting to follow where the “cool kids” were going, and partied throughout my youth and carried my guitar and sang for many people and in various environments. Music is a huge part of my life, and I’m incredibly grateful to be playing with two talented musicians who also happen to be two of the coolest guys I know. Those Dudes is not just a band for me; it’s a second family, and to be able to entertain and have fun with this band is an honor.
